FINANZAS CORPORATIVAS - OPINIONES
"Finanzas Corporativas by Guillermo Lopez Dumrauf is one of the few
books on corporate finance we find in Spanish. Although it studies the
typical issues covered in this kind of books, Lopez Dumrauf does it in
a very clear and pedagogical style and includes new and relevant issues.
I would like to mention that some features of this book are:
The book addresses issues relevant to emerging markets, in particular
relevant to Latin American countries.
The book covers a subject usually not studied in depth in corporate finance
books: options and real options.
The author deals explicitly with the issue of market value (present value
of future cash flows discounted at the weighted average cost of capital,
WACC) when treating the determination of WACC, which generates a circualrity.
The treatment of the issue of optimal capital structure, that elusive
concept, is beyond average. In fact, this was the subject of his doctoral
dissertation.
I fully recommend this book as a complete and comprehensive text for Corporate
Finance courses."
